The Robyn Jenkins Memorial Award

The Robyn Jenkins Award is presented to a new Radio Royal member who has gone above and beyond in their contribution to the station.

The background to the award is that Robyn Jenkins was a new and young member to the Radio Royal family, who sadly passed away far, far too soon. Robyn was a unique person who would give her time freely, bringing commitment, enthusiasm, and charisma to the team. We were very fortunate to have Robyn as part of the team.

We honour Robyn’s time with us, and her legacy, each year at the AGM and present this award in her name to the outstanding new member.

The 2025 Award was presented at our Annual General Meeting on 18th February and it went to the new member who has given 110% since joining, has frequently been on hand to help when needed and given advice to newer members. She also brings really good content to our station when on air. 

The winner of the Robyn Jenkins Award for 2025 is Kayla MacDonald.
